Building out an attic space can be challenging, but at the same time the space is there for the taking. We love challenges at Kara O’Brien Renovations. Challenges in attic finishes that present are 1)head room/roof line 2)getting the proper systems and HVAC in place 3) lighting and 4) getting material to that uppermost floor. In this attic, we kept things simple. We didn’t change the roof line, but added insulation, drywall, carpet, fresh paint. But what made the space really work is the creative use of custom storage built-ins tucked into normally unusable space.
